TV Operating System ZEASN Announces Name and Logo Change

TV operating system maker ZEASN has revealed a new company name and logo.

Going forwards the Singaporean brand will now be known as “Whale TV”.

Founded in 2011, the company has grown to the point where it has a reported 41.1M+ monthly active users of its TV operating system (which already goes by the name of “Whale”).

Whereas previously it was marketed solely to TV brands and factories, the firm now intends to establish itself as a consumer-facing brand.

“I believe that next to building scale we need to build a brand that is recognised and preferred by TV brands, content providers, advertisers, and consumers. Instead of making incremental changes, we made the bold decision to start with a blank canvas,” says Mike Duin, vice president of marketing and communications at Whale TV.

Company bosses further say the new identity was designed to position the brand as being “approachable, friendly, and fun”.

The new look has been unveiled simultaneously with the announcement of Whale OS 10, the next-gen version of the firm’s smart TV operating system that is expected to start shipping in early 2025.

The latter’s refreshed UX design is claimed to have fewer menu levels and also incorporates AI technology that will make personalised recommendations to viewers.
