Jewellery Brand Michael Hill Unveils New Logo and Identity
Jewellery company Michael Hill has revealed an all-new look following a major brand overhaul.
The refresh extends to every element of the business – from new logo to new website, social media, design assets through to a new global flagship store and even a new signature lock inspired by the company’s new brandmark.
Additionally, a new colour palette and packaging has been introduced that the firm says has been inspired by the green New Zealand landscapes from which Michael Hill, the company’s eponymous founder, started the brand almost half a century ago.
“Our new branding aims to continue telling the story of our proud heritage and bring to life the vision we’ve been working towards for the past two years of building a premium, aspirational brand,” says Jo Feeney, Michael Hill’s chief marketing officer.
Adding: “Each element of our rebrand has been carefully considered to align with our history and DNA as a brand, and to allow us to continue evolving. Our commitment to quality, craft, and creativity is just as strong today as it was when we first began in 1979.”
The new brandmark reportedly makes use of a New Zealand typography front, intertwining the company’s monogram of M and H.
“The icon conjures imagery of a window, a tribute to our earliest, enchantingly creative store windows which were designed by Lady Christine Hill, and which helped Michael Hill to first make our mark in the fine jewellery landscape,” explains a spokesperson for the brand.
The company has also announced international model and entrepreneur, Miranda Kerr, as its new brand ambassador.
