Humane Society Rebrands to ‘Humane World for Animals’, Reveals New Logo

The Humane Society of the United States and Humane Society International have together announced a name change to “Humane World for Animals”.

For over 70 years, the Humane Society network has been dedicated to addressing the fundamental issues behind animal cruelty and suffering.

Operating throughout the U.S. as the Humane Society of the United States, the organisation later incorporated the power of Humane Society International, which aims to safeguard animals in 50 countries, along with the Humane Society Legislative Fund, its political branch in the U.S., now rebranded as the “Humane World Action Fund.”

The organisation is for the first time unifying all three groups under the Humane World umbrella.

“Our new name more effectively conveys the work we do to address cruelty and suffering across a breadth of issues – from factory farms, the fur trade, and animal testing, to trophy hunting, puppy mills, and rescuing animals from disasters and large-scale cruelty cases,” says Kitty Block, president and CEO of Humane World for Animals.

Along with the new name, it is streamlining its logos into a cohesive design that is said to represent a “global, all-animal focus”.

“With this evolved brand will come the ability to express a clear, compelling and comprehensive view that grows support, attracts a new generation of advocates and supporters, and connects with more partners to make a bigger difference for animals around the world,” comments Alison Corcoran, chief development and marketing officer of Humane World for Animals.

The new logo is also being accompanied by a global TV ad, which has been created in partnership with creative studio Nexus Studios and director Johnny Kelly.
