Germany EURO 2024 Bid Logo Revealed
2,076 submissions, 990 designers, 82 countries, but just one winner – the German Football Association (DFB) have unveiled their official EURO 2024 bid logo.
After the thousands of entries from all around the world were whittled down to a shortlist by a jury, the nation then voted for their favourite on the FUSSBALL.DE website.
44 per cent of the more than 50,000 participants preferred the design submitted by Igor Petrovic from Serbia. The logo, which contains the black, red and gold of the Germany flag and the number 24, will feature on the official bid book that will be submitted to UEFA, as well as several other communication platforms relevant to the DFB’s bidding process.
“We want to use this logo to make our application stand out not just in Germany, but throughout Europe, giving it an unmistakable design that can easily by recognised,” said DFB president Reinhard Grindel. “The fact that almost 1,000 designers from across the world took part shows just how much interest there is in our bid. Thanks to the voting process on FUSSBALL.DE, the fans have been a part of our application from day one. The final logo is their logo.”
