Design Branding: 7×7 FUTURE FOCUS

7×7 Future Focus was the fourth in the Design Institute of Australia’s lecture series, which were organised and held during The Melbourne Design Festival back in 2009.

Leading figures from seven design disciplines were invited to present their top seven future industry trends and predictions at a fast paced and highly visual event in front of an audience made up of both creative design professionals and laypersons.

The aim of the identity was to reflect the idea of looking beyond the obvious, to being able to see more than what is immediately visible, and reading between the lines – just like the speakers had to do with their insights.

Designer Malin Holmstrom and creative director Jason Little formulated the design whilst working at Landor Associates in Sydney. The same duo were responsible for the award-winning City of Melbourne logo design.
