Chevrolet Reveals New Corvette ZR1 Logo Ahead of Car’s Debut
The Corvette ZR1 is coming this summer – and ahead of its unveiling, Chevy has revealed the car’s shiny new badge.
Dating back to 1970 – when it was first introduced as a performance version of the C3 Corvette Stingray – the ZR1 nameplate sees the regular Corvette getting an extra level of power and sportiness, with lots of track-focused hardware and styling elements.
The forthcoming ZR1 will also be the first for the latest, eighth-generation Corvette that was launched in 2020 (pictured in blue below).
It will succeed the 2019 C7 ZR1, which was the fastest, most powerful production Corvette ever up until that time – and the last model to carry the ZR1 designation (also pictured below in orange).
The Corvette itself, of course, has a long and storied history.
Debuting in 1953, the two-seater experienced a golden age in the 1960s and 1970s, becoming (and remaining) a symbol of all things Americana.
