Calvin Klein Unveils New Logo Design
American fashion brand Calvin Klein has revealed an all-new logo design, with the company’s creative boss, Raf Simons, stating that it is “a return to the spirit of the original” and that it acknowledges “the founder and foundations of the fashion house.”
The refreshed wordmark, which sees all caps replacing the lower-case lettering of the previous design, has been created in collaboration with British graphic designer Peter Saville, and forms part of the fashion giant’s masterplan to grow the label to $10 billion in global retail sales.
Simons, having resigned from Dior in 2015, took charge of design and marketing at Calvin Klein in August 2016, with a remit to unify all of the company’s brands under “one creative vision” – a brand strategy that was actually started back in 2013 with the reacquisition of the Calvin Klein Jeans and Calvin Klein Underwear businesses.
