Alfa Romeo Reveals Special Logos to Celebrate Historic Car Designs
Famed Italian car brand Alfa Romeo is this year celebrating two very important anniversaries.
2024 is the 70th of the Giulietta Sprint, unveiled in 1954, as well as the 50th of the 1974 Alfetta GT; two of the firm’s most commercially successful models.
To mark the occasion, Alfa Romeo Centro Stile – the company’s internal car design studio – has produced two new logo designs.
“Distinguished by minimalistic and elegant lines, the two logos retrace the features of the two cars, adorned for the occasion with their signature, in the same font as on their bodywork,” explain the designers.
The Giulietta – affectionately known as “la fidanzata d’Italia” (Italy’s girlfriend) – is said to have marked the transformation of Alfa Romeo into a major car manufacturer.
Production of the model in its multiple variants lasted for 11 years, with a total of 177,513 units being made, of which 24,084 were the Sprint.
The Giorgetto Giugiaro-designed Alfetta GT, meanwhile, stayed in production until 1986, after 136,275 units of the various versions had rolled out of the factory.
