Abnormal Security Returns to Original Name, Unveils New Logo

AI-powered cybersecurity software firm, Abnormal Security, has revealed it is rebranding as “Abnormal AI”.

The change signifies a return to the company’s original identity – Abnormal AI – a name it used since its founding in 2018.

The name later evolved into Abnormal Security, as the American firm believed that the market was not yet prepared to accept artificial intelligence as the cornerstone of enterprise security.

“As AI now reshapes industries, attacker tactics, and enterprise technology alike, the timing has never been more appropriate,” says the Las Vegas, Nevada-headquartered business about the reversion to its earlier name.

“Our mission is to protect humans from cybercrime everywhere they operate and interact, and we fully believe that the only way to win this war is to do so with the power of AI. As such, we must lead with clarity about who we are,” further comments Evan Reiser, CEO and founder of Abnormal AI.

Adding: “Changing our name back to Abnormal AI reinforces that and reflects the broader platform we are building.”

In line with the rebranding efforts, the company’s official legal name has been updated from Abnormal Security Corporation to Abnormal AI, Inc.

The firm’s software platform is reportedly utilised by more than 3,200 organisations globally, encompassing over 20% of the Fortune 500.
