City Capital Ventures Rebrands, Unveils New Name and Logo

City Capital Ventures, a private investment firm, has revealed its new identity as “Uncommon Equity”.

Alongside the rebranding, the American firm is also moving its headquarters to One North Wacker in Chicago.

“This rebrand symbolises our commitment to investing in companies that align with our values and vision for the future, and the notion that we don’t simply provide ‘common’ equity capital, but Uncommon Equity,” says Dan Kipp, co-founder and CEO of Uncommon Equity.

Adding: “We believe in the power of unconventional thinking and the potential of experienced and motivated people to drive meaningful growth. Our new brand better captures this focus on accelerating our value creation with executive talent not typically found in companies of the size in which we invest.”

“It has been extremely humbling to work with so many ‘uncommon’ people since our inception one decade ago. Our goal is to double down on what has made us successful: partnering with great people, investing in differentiated businesses, and creating value over flexible time horizons,” further comments Allen Tibshrany, Uncommon Equity’s co-founder and managing director.

Since its establishment in 2006, the investment and merchant banking firm asserts that it has provided guidance on transactions exceeding $3 billion.
