Yamaha Turns 70, Updates Logo Design

In a significant move, Yamaha has refreshed its corporate logo for the first time in 27 years, coinciding with its 70th anniversary celebrations.

The new design, tailored for the digital age, maintains the classic three tuning forks arranged in a circle but shifts to a flat, 2D format for improved visibility, departing from the previous three-dimensional style.

To further commemorate its 70th birthday, the Japanese firm has also launched a special anniversary logo.

Designed under the concept of ”Everything Begins with a Challenge”, it draws inspiration from the racing number plate of the YA-1, Yamaha’s inaugural motorcycle produced between 1955 and 1958.

Since its separation in 1955 from musical instrument manufacturer Yamaha Corporation, Yamaha Motor has gone on to become one of the largest motorcycle manufacturers worldwide, in addition to producing boats and various marine products.
