FutureBrand Creates New Logo for Philanthropic Fund – SCI Ventures
FutureBrand London has unveiled a fresh logo and brand identity, along with a new website for SCI Ventures, a venture philanthropy fund dedicated to stimulating an investment market focused on reversing paralysis.
SCI Ventures tasked FutureBrand with enhancing the fund’s credibility and expertise while effectively sharing its mission to invest in groundbreaking scientific advancements for spinal cord injury treatments.
The redesign aims to project both trustworthiness and approachability, targeting life science investors and medical professionals, as well as individuals affected by spinal cord injuries and their loved ones.
“The design’s fresh and modern motion combines thoughtful colour choices and modern design motifs – including soft filtering of abstract areas and rounded shapes with smooth transitions,” explains the FutureBrand creative team.
Adding: “Font combinations of serif and san serif reflect the established nature of the scientific research funded by SCI Ventures while an open and friendly layout of elements makes the information accessible and easy to understand.”
“The brief for SCI Ventures was not easy. A philanthropic initiative… with a VC fund mentality. A distinct new identity… backed by 5 leading Foundations with strong separate identities… the team really captured what we are about: expertise, collaboration, and pragmatism,” further comments Adrien Cohen, founding managing director at SCI Ventures.
In 2023, the founders of SCI Ventures established an “evergreen” fund aimed at boosting early-stage investments in promising cures and therapies, with guidance from top-tier neuroscientists who are at the forefront of medical science and technology.
Currently, there are 15 million individuals around the globe living with spinal cord injuries, the majority of whom are under 40, having faced these challenges in the prime of their lives.
