Google Unveils New Logo Design for Mobile World
Tech giant Google has revealed a new logo design that the company says will work better across different platforms, apps and devices.
Announcing the change on the official Google blog, a company spokesperson described the refreshed logo as being “simple, uncluttered, colorful, friendly”.
“It doesn’t simply tell you that you’re using Google, but also shows you how Google is working for you. For example, new elements like a colorful Google mic help you identify and interact with Google whether you’re talking, tapping or typing. Meanwhile, we’re bidding adieu to the little blue ‘g’ icon and replacing it with a four-color ‘G’ that matches the logo,” said Google’s VP of Product Management, Tamar Yehoshua.
This latest update follows a recent brand restructure which saw Google realign its various products and services under an overarching parent company called Alphabet.
