Fashion House Balenciaga Reveals New Logo Design
Paris-headquartered luxury fashion label Balenciaga has unveiled an all-new logo design.
A logotype to be more precise, the refreshed design was officially revealed ahead of the brand’s spring/summer 2018 Paris Fashion Week runway show this past weekend.
The minimalist-looking wordmark has been created under the watch of current creative director Demna Gvasalia, and features a condensed black font set against a grey-coloured background.
“Conceived in-house, the development process was inspired by the clarity of public transportation signage. The result is a visually shortened logo which gives a simple, bold stamp to the timeless deluxe Balenciaga signature,” said a company spokesperson.
Founded by Spanish-born Cristóbal Balenciaga in 1917 and established in Paris in 1937, Balenciaga is currently owned by French luxury group, Kering.
